Well, not literally, just here online. It’s been nearly a year since my last blog post so I have decided to switch things up a bit. I have moved to a new platform and I am hoping to create an online gallery where one can purchase photos directly.
I may have been absent from my blog but that doesn’t mean that I’ve put down the camera. Quite the opposite. I have collected many images over the last year.
In fact, just this past week, I stepped outside my back door to capture some images from farm life. I walked down the canal, trying to find a place to cross the over the fence. There are cattle in the pasture, so I knew better than to trust that the fence was not hot. I just couldn’t find a safe place. At one point, my uncle climbed out of the tractor and crossed but didn’t see me. I called to him, asking where I could cross. He must have thought he was hearing voices as he looked around but still didn’t see me. Had I realized this, I would have had more fun with him. Haha.
I made my way across the field, careful to stay out of the way, and away from the dust.
Warning: objects may appear closer together than they are. I zoomed in to capture these two dancing in synchronized form as they raked and baled hay. (In real life, I doubt you would catch either one of them dancing at all).
I followed them from a safe distance while they worked and the sun fell in the background.
As I made my way back to the house, I was watched by the inhabitants of the pasture. And I was watching one in particular. And now I wonder if this could have been Gene Simmons’ inspiration….
Well done, Connie. I love your blogs.
Thank you Shari!
